How Invisalign Works

The process begins by ensuring you are a qualified candidate for Invisalign treatment. Once established, we will capture impressions of your teeth and have them sent to a dental lab, where technicians will craft your aligners. As soon as they arrive in our office, you’ll return to have your fitting. You’ll be required to wear them 20-22 hours a day before switching them out for the next set in the series every two weeks. This ensures that your teeth continue to move in the right direction. Throughout treatment, you’ll meet with a member of our team so that we can monitor your progress and make any adjustments along the way.

The Benefits of Invisalign

When it comes to wearing Invisalign, you will find there are immense benefits that cannot be attained with other types of orthodontic treatment, such as:

  • They are less noticeable – Invisalign is a more discreet way to straighten teeth because the aligners are made of clear plastic.
  • Faster results – On average, Invisalign can produce results in 12-18 months, as opposed to traditional braces that often require 2-3 years of treatment.
  • Improved oral hygiene – Invisalign aligners must be removed to maintain better oral hygiene, as you can easily clean your teeth without metal brackets and wires in the way.
  • You can eat the foods you love – Instead of worrying about food getting stuck in your braces, Invisalign allows you to consume your favorite foods because they must be removed before you begin eating.
